Automotive Aftermarket Parts In-Line Visual Merchandising Display
NAPA wanted to create a store merchandising display for independent/franchise dealers to compete with mass auto parts retailers. The store fixtures and display needed to introduce new product categories into established stores to help improve the store’s overall appearance and presentation. The design and imagery needed to create a more shopper friendly presentation for DIY customers and attract younger retail customers. The retail display design also needed to accommodate a wide range of store layouts, sizes and fixtures.
Auto parts stores can be an intimidating retail environment for the casual DIY shopper
Current store environments are mature and traditionally merchandised for professionals and experienced DIY experts
Shoppers will respond to images they can relate to specific categories
Created a modular, in-line visual merchandising display system to define the general category and distinguish the product groups within the category
Graphics clearly identified each category of electrical power products with lifestyle images: motorcycles, snowmobiles, jet skis and ATVs
The modular merchandising display system was easily installed by store personnel
This new category, a significant component of NAPA’s new merchandising initiative, was successfully rolled out to the independent auto dealer network
