Countertop Logistics Center P.O.P. Shipping Kiosk
FedEx needed to provide support for processing customer shipments in office products superstores and needed an intuitive P.O.P. display that would retrofit into existing store fixtures. They also wanted the digital display to be inexpensive and easily executed by installers. Retailers wanted to draw attention to the new service provided.
Customers aren’t familiar with the process for shipping packages
Each transaction requires input from both the clerk and the customer
Store personnel would need to be trained to execute these transactions and assist customers
The rate of returns and errors is high if not handled properly
Created an interactive kiosk accessible by the store associate and the customer
The retail P.O.P. display featured a turntable, allowing the screen and keyboard to be turned toward either the store associate or the customer
Installation was simple and easily executed at store level
Kiosk included permanent display branding and messaging that could be changed when terms and conditions were updated
Signage for promotions and seasonal messaging also was included
Rollout was extremely successful for this ongoing program
